  • Compulsory activity 1:  How to fund a research project, within the "How to design a research project in Health Sciences" training seminar. Dates: 9 and 10 January 2014 (from 4.30 to 8.30 p.m., and from 9.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m., respectively). Venue: Graduation Hall of the Faculty of Health Sciences.

    • (Since this is an compulsory activity, there will be no registration form. Students just have to be at the above-mentioned venue on the specified date and time).
  • Compulsory activity 2: J Seminars (thesis projects). Dates: 24 and 25 April (from 4.30 to 8.30 p.m., and from 9.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m., respectively). Venue : Graduation Hall of the Faculty of Health Sciences.

  • Optional activity 1: How to complete a Doctoral Programme in Health Sciences abroadDate: xx. Time: xx. Venue: xx.
  • Optional activity 2: Heuristic, document organisation and relevant archives in the history of Nursing. Dates: 22 and 23 January 2015 (from 4 to 9 p.m., and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., respectively).
  • Optional activity 3: Computer-based quantitative information analysisDates: 18 and 19 February 2015 (from 12.30 to 2 p.m., and from 4 to 8.30 p.m., respectively), at the Faculty of Health Sciences. Seminar taught by José Luis Medina Moya (lecturer at the Faculty of Pedagogy of the University of Barcelona).
  • Optional activity 4: Systematic reviews and meta analyses in scientific literature. Dates: 20 and 21 February 2015 (from 4 to 9 p.m., and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., respectively). Seminar taught by Julio Sánchez Meca, Professor of Behavioural Science at the Department of Basic Psychology and Methodology of the University of Murcia. 
  • Optional activity 5: Quantitative information analysis using SPSS software. Dates: 23 and 24 March 2015, from 4 to 9 p.m. Venue: IT Room 5, Germà Bernàcer Building. Seminar taught by lecturers Andreu Nolasco Bonmatí and Joaquín Moncho Vasallo, from UA's department of Community Nursing, Preventative Medicine and Public Health and History of Science. 
  • Optional activity 6: How to complete a Doctoral Programme in Health Sciences abroad. Date: 19 May 2015, from 4 to 9 p.m. Venue: Graduation Hall of the Faculty of Health Sciences. Seminar What it is like to be a PhD student at Glasgow Caledonian University. Taught by lecturer Irene García Medina, from the  Glasgow School for Business and Society.

  • Optional activity 7: Qualitative research in Public Health: analysis and hands-on approach. Dates: 21 and 22 May 2015, from 4 to 9 p.m. Venue: Graduation Hall of the Faculty of Health Sciences. Seminar taught by lecturer Carmen Vives Cases and Doctor Erica Briones Vozmediano, from UA's Department of Community Nursing, Preventative Medicine and Public Health and History of Science. 
  • Optional activity 8: How to write a scientific article. Dates: 4 and 5 June 2015 (from 4 to 9 p.m., and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., respectively). Seminar taught by Juan Carlos Arango Lasprilla, from Deusto University.
